CAT FLAPS and DOG DOORS for WALLS
For the installation of Pet Doors into Walls (of any type), it is essential that a qualified building professional be contracted to assist with installation. This is due to the fact that Walls may contain wiring and electrical points, which could be extremely hazardous to the layman. In addition certain walls are structural, and making a hole in the wall could potentially weaken the structure of the wall. A qualified building professional will also be able to advise as to what council regulations may apply in making a hole in a wall in order to insert a pet door.
In certain thick walls, some form of plastering / wooden sheeting will need to be applied / inserted to ensure a continuous tunnel for the pet to climb through. If a continuous tunnel is not completed, it is possible that the pet could be injured or get stuck in the tunnel.

CUSTOMISED TUNNEL FOR WALL INSTALLATIONS (OPTIONAL) We are able to provide customised tunnels made of tough 12mm thick polyethylene for any of the pet doors (CATMATE, DOGMATE, IDEAL, STAYWELL/PETSAFE) on this web page. What we require is that the depth of the tunnel required is emailed to us on sales@petdoorcompany.com.au as well as for which pet door, and a price will be calculated and emailed back to you. The depth of the tunnel will generally be measured as the total distance from the inside to the outside of the wall, including all panels. Tunnel manufacturing will generally take 1 – 2 weeks to be manufactured and delivered to you after receipt of order. |
